VP - Investment Banking Research - Fixed Income/Equity/Bonds - 8+ Years - Mumbai

A senior financial research and analytics role focused on building market estimates, benchmarking analysis, and performance models for corporate and investment banking clients. The role involves deep quantitative analysis, financial modelling, and translating complex data into actionable insights for global stakeholders.

Location - Mumbai.

Responsibilities -

1. Build and maintain models to estimate granular, product-level KPIs for investment banks including revenue, cost, risk-weighted assets, and market size estimates.
2. Analyse and explain market trends, drivers, and variations in revenue estimates using structured financial frameworks.
3. Organize, synthesize, and interpret large datasets using quantitative methods including statistical and financial analysis.
4. Develop forecasting models linking macroeconomic indicators with investment banking performance metrics.
5. Independently derive product revenue and headcount estimates based on research insights and external indicators.
6. Update and enhance financial models using qualitative and quantitative inputs from industry sources.
7. Build and maintain sector databases using Excel and analytical tools.

Requirements -

1. MBA or postgraduate degree in Business Management, Economics, Statistics, or related analytical field.
2. 8+ years of experience in financial research, analytics, or investment banking domain.
3. Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to work on large structured and unstructured datasets.
4. Knowledge of global capital markets and investment banking products.
5. Experience in financial modelling, forecasting, and data interpretation.
6. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
7. Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or CAIA will be an added advantage.
