SBCERA is excited to announce that we are an Associate Investment Officer to support our Senior Investment Officers. The ideal Associate Investment Officer at SBCERA will be intellectually curious, analytically sharp, and deeply motivated to understand investments at a fundamental level. We’re not looking for someone who simply tracks performance or echoes consensus views—we’re looking for someone who asks smart questions, challenges assumptions, and actively seeks to understand what drives markets, strategies, and outcomes. This role is for someone who approaches investing not just as a job, but as a craft—someone who’s excited to learn, rigorous in their thinking, and eager to contribute to a collaborative, high-performance investment team. Strategic insight, independent thinking, and a genuine interest in value creation are essential.

Candidates are expected to complete the full application including all relevant work experience, education, credentials/professional designations and/or progress toward credentials/professional designations. Zoom interviews will be conducted on or about July 21, 2026. Candidates who most closely meet the needs of SBCERA will then be invited to participate in in-person interviews, which are anticipated to take place on or about August 12, 2026.
