Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President - Hedge Fund Credit Analyst to join our Credit Risk Management team in London. This is a key role within their global credit organisation, responsible for the assessment, monitoring, and management of counterparty credit risk across a diverse portfolio of hedge fund clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth credit analysis of hedge fund counterparties, including qualitative and quantitative assessments of strategy, portfolio composition, leverage, liquidity, and operational framework.
• Evaluate and approve credit exposures across multiple products, including derivatives, prime brokerage, and financing transactions.
• Monitor credit performance, exposures, and risk trends; identify and escalate emerging risks.
• Partner with Sales, Trading, Legal, and Risk teams to structure transactions and ensure alignment with the bank's risk appetite.
• Prepare and present comprehensive credit memos and recommendations to senior risk committees.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of market developments and hedge fund strategies to proactively manage credit exposures.
• Mentor and support junior analysts, fostering analytical excellence and professional development within the team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong academic background with a degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; CFA or MBA preferred.
• Significant experience in hedge fund or counterparty credit risk analysis, ideally within a leading investment bank or financial institution.
• Deep understanding of hedge fund structures, investment strategies, and risk drivers.
• Solid knowledge of derivatives, prime brokerage, and structured financing products.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively across teams and influence decision-making at senior levels.
