As Credit Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of credit management within the US facility. Your day-to-day activities will centre on assessing customer creditworthiness, managing accounts receivable processes, developing policies that protect company interests, supporting sales teams during negotiations, resolving disputes efficiently, preparing detailed financial reports, leading budgeting efforts, maintaining rigorous internal controls, overseeing inventory accounting functions, and liaising with auditors. - Establish, implement, and maintain robust credit control policies and procedures that align with company strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with US sales teams to facilitate sales opportunities while mitigating financial risk, acting as the finance liaison during high-value negotiations.
- Manage complex billing and payment disputes by working across departments to find quick, effective resolutions that maintain positive customer relationships.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the US entity in accordance with both local and international accounting standards.
- Lead the annual budgeting process for US operations, develop regular financial forecasts, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to management.
- Design and maintain a strong internal control environment that ensures the integrity of financial data and compliance with company policies.
- Oversee inventory valuation, standard costing, and margin analysis to drive operational efficiency within the plant.
- Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors during audit cycles and support local tax compliance activities.
To excel as Credit Controller you will bring proven experience from similar roles within manufacturing or distribution sectors where you have managed credit control functions independently.
