Investment activity is primarily focused on real assets and structured finance.
Position:
Ironside is seeking a corporate controller. The position will rely on a firm understanding of entity and
fund accounting while providing additional value through ad-hoc business analysis of current and future
portfolio positions.
Hours and Structure:
Flexible hours and structure while driving the desired results. The position is eligible for either the
Portland, OR or Nashville, TN MSA Ironside locations and will report directly to the Vice President of
Investments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the roll-up of entity financials into fund financials on a quarterly basis while working with the
firm’s administrator and contracted accounting support. - Facilitate year-end fund audits with third-party auditors.
- Facilitate tax preparation and K-1 distribution with third-party tax accountants.
- Manage investor capital account statements, capital calls, and distributions.
- Support regular financial analysis for various portfolio positions.
- Manage accounts payable and vendor relationships.
- Ensure financial compliance with fund agreements, internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal budgeting, financial, and capital planning.
Requirements
Requirements and Capabilities:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA or other designation required if
undergraduate or advanced degree is not in accounting) - Proven experience in corporate and fund accounting, preferably within a private equity or financial
services environment. - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to think outside the box.
- Start date: Q4 2025
