Position Summary
A dynamic and growing $1 billion+ Credit Union in the Southwest is seeking an accomplished executive to serve as its Chief Lending Officer. Reporting directly to the CEO, this highly visible position will provide strategic leadership for the Credit Union’s lending operations, ensuring sustainable growth, diversification, and long-term success for the organization and its members. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise across consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending, supported by a proven history of achievement in product development, pricing strategies, and portfolio management. They will demonstrate a deep understanding of credit risk management and underwriting practices, coupled with the ability to align lending operations with the organization’s broader objectives. As a key member of the executive team, the Chief Lending Officer will contribute to the development and execution of the Credit Union’s strategic plan and is expected to provide regular reports and insights to the Board of Directors. A bachelor’s degree is required for this position, as well as a minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience overseeing the lending function within a financial institution. Requirements
