The Overdraft Product Manager will lead the strategic development, management, and growth of the bank's overdraft lending proposition for corporate clients. The role combines P&L ownership, product innovation, and regulatory/compliance stewardship, ensuring the overdraft portfolio is profitable, scalable, and aligned with client working capital needs. Overdraft remains a critical anchor product for corporate clients' short-term working capital needs. This role will shape the future of the overdraft proposition, drive both profitability and client experience, while enabling the bank to compete effectively in a rapidly digitalizing lending landscape.Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Proposition:
- Own and drive the end-to-end overdraft product strategy for corporate clients across target segments (e.g., SME, Mid Cap, Large Corporates).
- Identify new growth opportunities, product enhancements, and market differentiation levers.
- Align product strategy with working capital solutions, liquidity, and transaction banking offerings.
- P&L Ownership & Performance
- Manage the overdraft product P&L, including pricing strategy, utilization optimization, margin improvement and capital efficiency.
- Monitor product performance KPIs - portfolio size, yield, usage patterns, cost of funds, loss rates.
- Drive tactical and strategic initiatives to improve utilization and returns
- Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Lead new product development and enhancements, including digital onboarding, credit line management, and integration with client channels.
- Work closely with technology, credit, legal, compliance and operations teams to deliver robust, scalable and regulatory-compliant solutions.
- Ensure operational readiness, process excellence and smooth client experience across markets.
- Risk & Governance
- Partner with Credit Risk to set clear risk acceptance criteria, exposure limits, and monitoring frameworks.
- Ensure products comply with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and capital treatment rules.
- Embed appropriate controls to manage credit, operational, and conduct risks.
- Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Credit, Treasury, Operations and Legal to ensure alignment of product features with business priorities.
- Act as subject matter expert (SME) for overdraft in client pitches and internal training.
Requirements:
- 10 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, lending, or working capital product management.
- Understanding of overdraft / revolving credit facilities, credit underwriting frameworks, and regulatory capital treatment would be a plus
- Experience in digitization of lending journeys a strong plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related discipline; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a product P&L, including pricing strategy, utilization optimization, margin improvement, and capital efficiency.
- Proven ability to own and drive end-to-end product strategy for corporate lending products, including identifying growth opportunities and market differentiation levers.
